Stereotype Examples

Here are even more examples of stereotypes we have received from our surveys:
  1. ``At needs, shoulder bags have to be removed at the door, hoods have to be taken down, and there is a limit to `people` entering at a time``
  2. `` I`m mis-judged by people because of the people I hang around with``
  3. ``... I`ve only ever shoplifted one time a long time ago, yet I`m followed in stores all the time.``
  4. `` Walking through the stores and everyone starring at you because they think you are stealing.``
  5. ``I was wearing my hood up on my black sweater. I asked why, was glared at, and was left unanswered.``
  6. ``More than once I`ve been called a drug dealer or hoodlum because how I dress, and my long hair for a boy.``
  7. ``I went into a pizza place with some friends and some adults came in, looked at us and went to the opposite side of the room.``
Surprisingly, I still have many more examples of stereotypes.  It seems to me that Needs should be investigated now.  I have seen more than a few examples of stereotypes about them.
